Our client (international consulting firm) helps banks, asset managers and corporate treasury to improve their operational performance in all aspects of trading and risk management. Specialists work closely together with the clients to maximise value by tailoring system functionality and associated work processes and helps them to create tangible and lasting advantages along the entire trading and risk management process - from the deal capture moment through the life cycle administration and the final wind up of the trade.

Position
The Managing Consultant will bridge the gap between information technology solutions and business users and their requirements within the Investment Services Industry. This is focussed on Investment banking, Brokerage, Proprietary Trading, Exchanges and Asset, Fund and Hedge Management. His or her role will be managing and initiate projects.

Profile candidate
General Experience would include:
- Must be practical, self-motivated, customer focused, and able to work in a team;
- Possesses an understanding of sales methodologies and can apply them in a (pre)-sales situation;
- Able and willing to initiate and start up various project / change initiatives within high demand client environments; willingness to involve and promote other consultants and coach these individuals regarding skills, expertise and experience.
- Has managed teams of specialists before, accepting responsibility for the collective.
- Analytical skills to analyze data, complete research, diagnose and solve business and technical problems.
- Possesses good presentation and communication skills;
- Ability to talk to different audiences, appropriately adjust technical/business content to meet different audience knowledge and interest, and can juggle meetings with multiple audience levels;
- Ability to handle customer meetings / workshops without the assistance of other staff;
- Ability to describe our Clients solutions and how they interact with 3rd Party technologies;
- Ability to participate in technical meetings with customers;
- Ability to assess a customers business problem and recommend appropriate solutions; when complex problems requiring out-of-the-box thinking arise, can document a solution and articulate the business value to a customer;
- Continuously updating technical knowledge and learning new products and feature sets;
- (Prior) experience of modern programming languages like for instance C, C++, JAVA, Python and SQL is a large benefit.
- Candidates will have substantial experience (> 7 years)
- Fluency in both Dutch and English is essential.

Business knowledge may include:
- Trading / Deal capture of Securities, FX, Equities, Derivatives, etc;
- Portfolio Management;
- Risk Management Processing;
- Operations: Static & Dynamic data handling, Settlements, Reconciliation, Corporate Actions;
- Financial Messaging, including SWIFT, FpML, FIX

Also project / change initiative skills in the areas of:
- (Business) Architecture
- Project Management
- Business Consultancy
