Web Developer, Europe

 

We have an immediate opening for a junior to mid-level front-end web developer to maintain our localized web sites and support misc. interactive marketing projects for our European offices and partners. The candidate will be part of a top-notch global web team.

 

Responsibilities

 

•              Execute timely updates to European web sites to ensure up-to-date content and optimal user experience

•              Create web deliverables to support marketing initiatives such as direct marketing campaigns, search advertising, promotions, events, etc., including registration forms and related processing/reporting.

•              Create and/or optimize graphics for use on the web sites

•              Ensure adherence to QlikView brand guidelines and consistent look & feel across all QlikView web properties.

•              Perform daily maintenance on the web sites, including content updates and bug fixes

•              Participate in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) projects

•              Assist content owners with usage of web templates and publishing tools

 

Qualifications

 

•              Expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

•              Very strong understanding of web development best practices, including cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and coding standards

•              Ability to optimize images and code for superior performance

•              Basic web graphics design skills

•              Photoshop and Illustrator skills

•              Ability to work in a global team environment, often requiring participating in meetings outside normal business hours and frequent travel

•              Experience with .NET preferred

•              Experience with SiteCore, Ektron or similar CMS preferred

•              Significant experience working on multi-lingual web sites

•              Experience in defining site architecture, navigation strategy, and page layouts, and ability to quickly create page mock-ups

•              Ability to thrive in a demanding environment, requiring high degree of deadline-driven productivity, commitment, adaptability, communication, initiative and follow-through

•              Excellent time management and organizational skills, including ability to accurately gauge project duration, deliver on deadlines, switch rapidly between projects in a fast paced environment and manage a workload with possible conflicting priorities

•              Fluency in English and at least one other European language; additional language skills preferred
