For one of our clients in Amsterdam we are currently looking for a System Support Engineer. Job description: Within our client there are several applications to support the sales teams throughout Europe. The different supporting applications vary from Sales Order entry systems to linebook application (on IPad) to product master database. Some applications are standard other are TH development. Main role: 1st and 2nd line support for all the Sales Systems. Tasks:

* Dealing with queries from users in the countries. Providing answers, investigating problems and conduct training as required.

* Providing 1st line and 2nd line support

* Involvement on line openings (sales kick off meetings)

* For training and Q&A sessions

* Monitoring of interfaces and resolution of error reports, and escalate to further in case of not able to resolve issues immediately.

* Documentation of procedures.

* Where new solutions are required analyse the business requirement and produce the design of the solution within the framework of business and ICT strategies.



Skills:

* MBO or HBO (bachelor) in Information Technology

* Basic knowledge of:

* Windows

* Databases (MS Access/SQL, Sybase)

* Computers in a business environment:

* Hardware (pc’s, servers, routers)

* Mobile devices (Ipad’s)

* Software (MS products, etc. See below)

* Understanding of programming language (example C+, Visual Basic, HTML)

* Willing to learn from functional perspective:

* SAP in the designated functional area.

* SellIT, the Order entry system

* Other sales related systems

* Interaction with different teams within ICT, technical services (hardware & infrastructure) and business systems (applications, SAP …)

* Analyzing and resolving issues from technical perspective and functional perspective (master data)

* Participate in improvements initiatives to improve the existing systems or improve supportability

* Good written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate on all levels.

* Knowledge of the wholesale sales process from sales preparation (lines list, article set up, customer set up, ….. to, order entry and fulfillment)

* A commercial understanding of business processes specially in a fashion wholesale
