The Job

The PhP Software Developer is responsible for the design and development of new software and will enhance the existing software. In the change process you play an important part in the design by delivering impact analyses in close cooperation with the functional designers. When designing new software you will be (partly) responsible for the technical design, making time/cost estimations etc.

You will divide your time between making small changes in the operational release as well as the design of new large software systems. The systems you work on include administrative and financial systems as well as delivery systems which support and enable the primary business processes.

Responsibilities include:
• To automate the business processes and the connections between systems with the help of XML, SOAP, REST (to name three)
• To estimate the impact of changes
• Develop and test changes
• Technical design of new projects and changes
• Support the delivery of architectural documentation
• Solve operational problems in systems (bug-fixing)
• Technical support on the application portfolio

We ask

Basic requirements:

• Educated to Bachelor’s degree level or up
• Extensive knowledge of PHP, with multiple years of PhP SW development experience
• Experience with one or multiple PHP MVC frameworks, i.e. Zend. Symfony is considered a plus.
• Analytical, Creative, Flexible and Perseverance
• Team player with good communication skills
• Fluent in English
• You're willing and able to move to The netherlands on short notice, or already live here
• We will only accept applications from candidates from within the EU (including Bulgaria/Romania), that meet the above mentioned basic requirements.

Advantageous:

• Command of C#, C++, Bash and Perl is an advantage
• Familiarity with internet/ISP environments and techniques is an advantage
• Experience in Linux Environments
• Knowledge of Dutch

We offer

Excellent base salary and secondary employment benefits, including an above average pension scheme and the possibility of profit sharing. Permanent contract. A basic/limited relocation package could be offered if necessary.
