Backbase is growing! Therefore we are looking for new colleagues. We are looking for Java Solutions Architects to support our current Research and Development team.

As a Java Solutions Architect with Backbase in Amsterdam you will be working with a leading and innovative web 2.0 company which specializes in Customer Experience 2.0 software and services based on RIA and Ajax technology.

Backbase works for companies like ABN AMRO, KPN, ING, Philips, Visa, AIG, EMC, Vanguard and IBM. Because of the growing number of projects the need for Java Solutions Architects is eminent. Therefore Backbase is looking for experienced Java Solutions Architect for the R&D department in Amsterdam.

The Research & Development department

As Java Solutions Architect you will report to the CTO.

The Research & Development department

As a Java Solutions Architect you are a part of the R&D department. This department exists of 15 employees. As Java Solutions Architect R&D you'll report to the CTO.

The Job

As Java Solutions Architect you are responsible for the successful realization of Rich Internet Application (RIA) architecture. You are the person who has experience in making a sound technical design, developing a complete architecture according to the latest industry design patterns.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate for this challenging and demanding job with Backbase as a Java Solutions Architect will fit the following profile:

• HBO / Academic education
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Java Solutions Architect on scaled projects.
• Extensive experience with Spring and preferably with modern Java architecture
• You are very analytic and have in depth knowledge of everything you do within the Java environment
• Experience with building CMS like systems.
• Experience in defining software architectures, security, deployment, performance and risk management.
• Experience with sizing, scalability and connectivity.
• Experience with SOA
• Hands-on in Java.
• Excellent communication in English, both verbally and written.
