As a Senior Java Developer with Backbase in Amsterdam you will be working with a leading and innovative web 2.0 company which specializes in Customer Experience software and services based on Portal, RIA and Ajax technology.
Backbase works for companies like ABN AMRO, KPN, ING, Philips, Visa, AIG, EMC, Vanguard and IBM. Because of the growing number of projects with our customers, Backbase is in need of a senior level Java Developer for the R&D department in Amsterdam.
As Sr. Java Developer you will report to the Technical Director R&D. As Senior Java Developer you are a part of the R&D department. This department exists of 15 employees.

The goal

As Senior Java Developer you will work together with the R&D team on different components of our successful Rich Internet Application (RIA) Portal. You are the person who has experience in designing and developing Java according to the latest industry design patterns.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate for this challenging and demanding job of Backbase Senior Java Developer will fit the following profile:
•        Preferably Academic Degree.
•        Minimum 2-4 years experience as a Java Developer within Enterprise projects.
•        Extensive experience with Spring and preferably with modern Java architecture.
•        Experience with building a CMS and its integration.
•        At least 3-5 years of experience in Java Developing.
•        3 years of experience with different frameworks such as Hybernate, Spring, Struts and Cocoon.
•        Experience with sizing, scalability, connectivity and deployment.
•        Experience with SOA Web Services
•        Integration expert
•        Good command, verbally and written, of the English and Dutch language
•        Furthermore very important: you are someone who understands the theory behind the work you do. We are looking for analytical and empirical people.
